Timber frame house builders in Wentworth Surrey. Sunningdale homes are currently building a seven bedroom and seven bathroom family home in Wentworth Surrey.

Under construction October 2011  At this point the groundwork's begin with excavation and clearance of the site. The next stage is to dig the foundations and a cellar. When the new house is built, the existing house will be demolished.

December 2011 The cellar is in the ground and tanked. The block work walls are being built on the house foundations, in preparation for the concrete floor slabs.

January 2012 The timber frame has arrived from the manufacturer and is being erected by their fitting team.

February 2012 The carpenters have now built the roof timbers and structural supports. Roof insulation is being installed and then we felt, baton and tile the roof.

March 2012 towards the end of the month the brickwork is almost finished, the roof is on and Windows arrive soon.. Inside work has begun on first fix wiring and plumbing.

April 2012 The brickwork is almost finished and work on the inside involves insulation and plaster boarding in preparation for plastering.

June 2012 The roof is finished and most of the wooden windows and the large sky lantern is installed. The building is now water tight so work now concentrates on the interior. First fix electrics and plumbing are in place, the bathrooms are being prepared to fit. Boarding, plastering, insulation and underfloor heating installation continues and some decorating has begun. Major features like staircase installed and on the outside the scaffolding will come down soon and guttering completed.

July 2012 - Progress of Timber frame house building Wentworth as it now nears completion.

All windows are in, external doors are left out to avoid damage whilst work continues on internal works. Plaster boarding and plastering continues and decorating begins. The underfloor heating is in and bathrooms are being tiled.

October 2012 - The client requested some changes to upstairs first floor layout, which involved taking down walls, moving doorways and adding a wet room / bathroom.

Downstairs, a wood burning stove and external brick chimney added to the kitchen dinning area.

External doors, patio and bi-fold doors fitted.

November 2012 - The hand built kitchen is being installed. Bathrooms / wet rooms are ready for furniture and decorating continues throughout the house. 

February 2013 - Everything is now in place, kitchen, bathrooms, heating lighting and now we are busy doing all the finishing touches. The front porch needs to be built and the driveway laid and the grounds around the house levelled. The old house will be demolished last.
