Home refurbishment contractors - Under construction July 2011 and completed by the end of January 2012. The project was completed on time and agreed contract terms and conditions.

The build encompassed removal of the existing roof and raising the roofline to create two bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor.

The internal structure completely remodeled, removing walls and staircases and new rooms created and staircases installed.

An extension above an existing ground floor extension provides the first floor with three spacious bedrooms, one ensuite bathroom and a family bathroom.

On the ground floor an extension to the rear creates a large open plan kitchen dinner with French doors to patio and garden. Additional  space includes: cloakrooms, entrance hall and stairwell, a new lounge, kitchenette, boiler cupboard, additional storage cupboards, entrance to double garage with electric door and staircase to annex above the garage with shower and W.C.

The driveway laid in block paving with brick pillars, iron railings and electric gates leading to double garage. A large patio built with slab stones to the rear of the property.

The build construction in detail

At this point (July 2011), two weeks into the build, the skeleton of the first rear extension above an existing extension is up. The roof steels are being installed to create space for two additional bedrooms and a bathroom.

Throughout the house internal alterations are taking place with walls removed, doorways blocked and new ones opened. 20.07.11

October 2011 - The new French tiled roof is on and new window openings cut and prepared with bath stone window sills and lintels (windows on their way). Top half render coat applied and painted and scaffolding is coming down.

Inside, internal walls are being prepared and remodelled room layout taking shape. First fix electrics and plumbing going in. Site cleared ready for the next external construction stage, bay extension front and kitchen extension to rear of the property.

December 2011 - The large bay window front and the rear kitchen extension is built. The remaining render coat applied and ready for paint. All the windows and doors are in.

Inside the house, all physical alterations are complete, except for the main staircase. Second fix electrics, plumbing and heating systems in place and decorating has begun. Kitchen and bathrooms are now being fitted.
