We started this ground floor rear extension June 2013. The house extension is to a six bedroom family home in Sunningdale, on the boarder with Chobham in Surrey. Before we could start building we had to knock out the existing structural back walls supporting the rooms upstairs, right above the point of the building extension. A large crane was needed to lift the huge steel structural support beams over the roof of the house to the back garden. The steels were carried into the building, installed in position, bolted together and welded. The house extension is a large ground floor extension to accommodate a new kitchen... come dinner and family entertainment - living space, with sliding bi-fold doors looking out into the garden. The extension has a flat roof with a sky lantern, centre of the room for additional natural light. To the side, at the front of the house is a small single storey house extension with a pitched tiled roof. The extension enlarges the existing utility room and has access to back garden. The house extension building is scheduled to complete end of August 2013. By the end of July 2013 the structure of the house extension is built and all the electrical and plumbing services are going in. Once this work is done we can begin to prepare the area for plasterboard and plastering, floor screeding and flooring and all the cosmetic finishes. The whole extension build, both inside and outside was completed to a very high standard which, is just how we like it ! kitchen supplied and fitted by Orchard kitchens in Egham, Surrey.
