From the road outside, this well presented Victorian detached house appears like many others in the village. However, venture round the back and you're in for a pleasant surprise.

We started this house extension in Late November 2012. The house extension is to a Victorian three bedroom detached property in Sunninghill Berkshire. Extension building schedule is approximately 16 weeks.

December 2012 - We are digging out the basement and foundations. As you can see from the photos, the lads are hard at work, with some mechanical assistance.

The house extension involves building a fully tanked basement, creating a large bedroom and a separate bathroom.

The ground floor of the house extension creates a large kitchen diner and living room with views over the back garden. 

February 2013 Basement excavation and extension builders in Surrey.

The house extension build is well under way now with the main structure or shell of the building complete. The extension's roof including two skylights and drainage almost finished. The building is now ready for the large sliding folding doors and windows to be fitted when delivered.

Inside the building: The house extension has opened into the existing house, with walls knocked through and some bricked up. The existing chimney breast and chimney stack removed and tiled roof made good. The ceilings are going up which also incorporate two skylights wells or recesses.

Basement: Access down to the basement area opened, ready for the staircase to go in. The basement floors are being prepared for insulation and screeding. The ceilings and walls prepped and ready to plaster. Electrical and plumbing services are now being installed to basement and rooms above.

March 2013 - The house extension building is going well and now we are on the last stretch. The kitchen is fitted and the finishing touches to the dinning area are almost complete. Decorating upstairs and downstairs continues. The basement bathroom and shower room are almost finished. The bedroom / living room area is being prepared to finish and all work should be completed by the end of March.

April 2013 - The house extension is now complete and the owners are gradually moving in to their new space.

We are tidying up and applying a few remaining finishing touches.
