Country House building contractors in Sunningdale Berkshire - June 2024

We began the comprehensive restoration and building work on this lovely Georgian Country house, situated in Berkshire, approximately two years ago in 2022.

Since, then, the property has undergone a much-needed overhaul, brining it right up to date both technically and physically. Every effort has been made to maintain and /or re-instate all the charming period features you would expect to find in a charming country house.

Following years of thorough research and sourcing materials

The new owners personally planned every aspect / detail of the build / restoration to achieve their goal to rescue the Georgian Country House.

And not only have they have built and created a modern, comfortable family home within, they managed to keep / re-establish the Georgian look and feel.

Exterior Building Work – Two Rebuilt Rear Side House Extensions

The rear wing of the house has two new extensions which we built with period correct sandstone facade. To the left in the new indoor swimming pool and to the right dinning room / Orangery. Both extensions have large roof lanterns, the swimming pool roof houses all the solar electric / heating panels.

New hardwood Georgian sash windows, doors and French doors fitted throughout.

Complete Interior Restoration – Full Tech Upgrade Modernisation

Intricate planning has gone into all the utilities and services to bring them right up to date to deliver modern comfort and living.

The house is filled with bespoke built-in features, cupboards, cubbyholes, kitchens, boot room, utility rooms, bathrooms & en-suites, cinema room, indoor swimming pool, sauna & steam room.

The interior decor beautifully restored using paint and wallpapers that are all period inspired.

High quality fixtures and furnishings complement the Georgian country house feel.

Superb Parkland Grounds –  Walled Fruit and vegetable Garden

The grounds are what is left of a much bigger parkland owned by the family who originally built the property. A large portion of the parkland was sold to develop a golf course which backs onto the property.

The new owners have made good use of the existing parkland, maintaining the pond and landscape, coupled with the addition of a huge walled fruit and vegetable garden and bespoke greenhouse / pot house.

And some unique arty sculptures by a French artist living and working in the UK !
